Out-of-District Calls

Put a 9 in front of any "regular" number you want to dial.

New Software or Online Purchases- Start Here

We want your software purchase to be a success. Loop technology in on your purchase to be sure it is compatible with our equipment and district policies.

Before you buy or sign up for that free trial:

    1. Do you have campus/supervisor approval?

    2. Fill out the Software Readiness Form for all new purchases/trials and send to Kim Purifoy, kpurifoy@lisd.org. You will need to work with your sales agent to complete the technical portion. Once received, Kim Purifoy will review and contact you if there are any blanks or questions.

    3. If student accounts are needed, the district/charter must have a signed Confidentiality Agreement with the software company on file.

    4. Depending on how accounts are made, someone on your campus will need to be over the account creation and upkeep process and serve as the software administrator (not your campus ITS).

    5. After receipt of your Software Readiness Form and verification of compatibility with district equipment and policies, your requisition for purchase will be approved.

Find the forms you need here.

After Purchase:

    1. Request any file uploads needed from LISD Data Systems Analyst in Technology. Please provide the sample file format (usually a CSV file) at the time of your request. Email Heather Chism, hchism@lisd.org. You will either be provided with the file upload in a secure format or be instructed how to pull the data. No student data will or should be uploaded/released until a fully executed Confidentiality Agreement is on file.

    2. Work with your software company and LISD Data Systems Analyst to ensure the program is working properly within the LISD network.

Quotes/New Hardware Purchases- Start Here

Your Campus/Department both funds and purchases equipment.

Please consult with your campus administration to determine funding sources for projects. Many campuses also have grants that may assist with funding different technology initiatives. Each grant has its own peculiarities as to what and how to purchase. Please consult with the individuals in charge of the grants.

Bigger Projects:

Upgrading to SMARTboards, upgrading labs, converting rooms, etc. start with talking to campus ITS, the Supervisor of Instructional Technology, or the Technology Director. There are many things to take into consideration in a larger project. Such as: furniture, electrical, network, cabling, and if the current network hardware needs to be upgraded to add more connections. Most larger projects require multiple departments and third party contractors. If you have a budget in mind, we can tell you what you can get for your money.
